Cargill SPCC

Protecting natural resources with a customized spill prevention plan for a protein processing facility
Cargill needed a Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan to prevent, prepare for, and respond to potential oil spills at its protein processing plant in Dayton, VA—a facility with an aggregate oil storage capacity of nearly 27,000 gallons.
Colman Engineering addressed Cargill’s need through the development of an SPCC Plan encompassing Plan administration and modification; discharge prevention; inspections, tests, security, and personnel training; and discharge control and response.
Colman Engineering helped ensure conformance with applicable EPA and state requirements, allowing the facility to continue Cargill’s mission to provide high-quality food products and services to local communities and the world.
